This life will be the death of me.

From now on I will refer to blog posting as dropping a log.

I recently made the trip to MTL, prior to my arrival in MTL, I decided to stop by TO.  It was here I met a nice fellow. We shall call him.... "stardust"
Stardust told me that creative art and expression usually stems from depression and is often the cure to the current state of mind.  "you feel depressed.. you create something to feel better"  This got me thinking.
If stardust is saying this and he believes it... Then he probably isn't the only one who does.
So there are artists who self medicate by creating art.
Alright, nice.
But then I got to thinking.... are they expressing the depression they feel? Perhaps they are taking the depression and some how physically moving it onto another medium? Or is it the cure they have created and wish to share?

I think depression exists in everyone, but for today we are going to call it "evil"  Simply for arguments sake and because I like to relate things back to religion.
So this "evil" may lay dormant in some, and may thrive in others.  But it exists in us all.
You are happy, you are sad.  where is the middle ground and how much of each do we need?
If you are too happy, are you insane? is it a disease?
If you are too sad... it certainly is a problem, I am not going to argue that.
I'd rather see you smile, It lights up the room.
Guess it all comes down to your capability to fix that in which seems broken.  Pick yourself up when you are down etc...  Or take meds.....

If creating art can help battle this state of mind. Great!
But what if the art created is depression incarnate...

Is art the cure?  Or the disease replicating into our souls through our eyes and ears, infecting us and destroying the only hope we have left?
No.  That's just crazy talk.

Art is perception.  And I hope it makes you smile, cry and sleep.

What does art mean to you?
If you don't know. Find out.  At least do so before you're dead.

Uh yeah, and stop searching for meaning in everything.  Share your knowledge instead.

It's almost time for dinner, get your shoes on

I'm not about to get into family values, not today. (even though I am touching on the subject)
The family is yours to call your own.
I don't want to start on how this planet is becoming more and more detached from one another.  Maybe another time....  Negativity breeds negativity.

I have been told my whole life that everything happens for a reason.  Then why are you reading this?
Sure everything happens for a reason,  But that doesn't mean it should.  Unless it's convenient of course.

Let's surf the internet and find 4,452,039 people complaining about the state of the world and doing nothing more than maybe a few drugs to make it seem clearer.
I just read some 24 year old's rant of facebook about how the world has it all wrong.

Shut up.

On a fresher note:
Oslo (Norway) has an impressively hi-tech, futuristic approach to garbage disposal. The homes of many residents are connected to a system of underground pneumatic pipes that simply suck away domestic garbage. Oslo has also abolished landfill sites, instead turning the energy generated from incinerating city-centre garbage into electricity and heating for locals.
!!!!!WOW!!!!!

Yeah, so it's been a while. But only to those who aren't in a coma.

The idea of a blog is still running through my brain like a log on a river that has dried up many years ago.  It's stuck.
I would like to write more and more often - but it seems I would also need to advertise myself to get people to read it.  I've never been a fan of selling in general.

I do my best to write that which is of interest, not just to me but hopefully to you too.  Why? because I'm not selfish.
I don't think you are a retard. In fact you are retarded if you think I do.

Yes, you are evil?

We all meet people in our lives. If we didn't, well... we probably would have a hard time understanding the ideas and notions behind perception of self.
Each and every person we meet effects and affects us in every way possible. If they didn't, I't wouldn't be possible.  That's why it's possible in every way.
So how much do we learn about ourselves from other people? I think it's impossible to tell. But we must be shaped in some way by our surroundings.
And if in some way we are shaped by that which is around us, are we than good or evil because of it?

Pedestrian X had this to say on the matter.
"Does someone have to practice evil to be evil? And if so, do they practice on themselves?"

Quote of the Monday:  Don't put food on someone else's plate, they may already be full.

**who is Pedestrian X? - Pedestrian X is a friend, a friend that you all know and love. The one person in your life that will follow you when you've passed away. The one person who will be there long after you are gone.  The follower of your soul, the centre of your soul, your nemesis and lover.

Call of Duty Black Ops First Strike Map pack Region EXPLOSION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok, so lets go a little nerdy today.  For those of you who do not know what Call of Duty is... Stop playing WoW and turn on an xbox or ps3.  Oh what's that?!?! you dont play video games... that's cool, but you might want to get some friends. Chances are someone you know is playing call of duty... right now.

Plain and simple. Call of Duty is the biggest money maker on the planet in terms of video games sales.  Now how does Activision (the owner of the franchise) reward it's players with the newest map pack addition...
By only allowing them to download in the same region and your gamer ID is registered!

"This content is not available for your region"

So to all those wonderful souls fighting for their country overseas... you suck and we dont care about you.
who are "we" "We" are Activision, the company behind region locking your download content.  Why? because we don't make enough money as it is and we want to ensure that we capitalize on everyone.  What's that? you have a canadian account with 29837492387947823 MS points on it, you've already spend money to buy the map pack?  You are not living in Canada at the moment?... oh well... you suck and we dont care about you.
In short - If you are from a country that you are not currently living in, and created an xbox live account in your home country. You can't download the map pack.  So if you are a soldier fighting overseas and you like to play call of duty.. no new map pack for you.
If you like to buy points from retailers overseas... no map pack for you. (you know that's not legit and you can't really be THAT upset that microsoft inst letting you download it)
If you have moved for school... no map pack for you.
If you have moved because of work... no map pack for you.
If you transferred your account to where you live now... no map pack for you.
If you have no fingers and hate call of duty and never wanted to play anyway... no map pack for you.

So what's the only "solution"
Make a NEW account in the country you are in. Buy ANOTHER/MORE ms points and download to that account. Then the DL content will be available for anyone to use on that machine.

Great, So you have to create an account to which no one will ever use and RE-PURCHASE points so that you can use a map pack that you couldnt download because you were not in the country in which you registered your initial gamer ID.
Makes perfect sense to me.
So what if i want to delete that account because I never use it. Content lost.
All of this... for a map pack?!?!?

And if you live in a country not listed here http://www.xbox.com/en-us/live/countries Don't even try to download it.
Our reader Dawn has mentioned:
- "(you may be able to access xBox live there, but you'll get no support)... You can buy it, but not download it.

A map pack for the highest grossing game series of all time.  And what's activision's excuse... "legal reasons"
Nice one Activision. Nice one indeed.

It's a flippin video game.
